See how your take-home pay splits into needs, wants and savings, then adjust it to fit.

## Method and assumptions

Start with take-home pay after tax and deductions. Multiply it by 0.50 for needs, 0.30 for wants and 0.20 for savings or extra debt repayments. For $1,000 a week this gives $500, $300 and $200. Adjust the split if your costs do not fit. Weekly, fortnightly and monthly views use 52, 26 and 12 periods a year. Amounts are AUD, rounded to cents and always sum to take-home pay. This is an educational starting point, not personal financial advice. Entries stay in your browser.
