Use your essential costs to estimate a savings buffer and the time to build it.

## Method and assumptions

Enter essential costs, savings contributions and money already saved in AUD. Targets are a first $1,000 buffer and one or three months of essential costs, using 52 weekly, 26 fortnightly or 12 monthly periods a year. Subtract existing savings and round up to whole deposits, with the first deposit at the end of one period. No interest, fees, withdrawals or changing costs are modelled. Changing period converts amounts and cent rounding can slightly affect targets. Entries stay in your browser.
