Terms of Service
How Clova works, your responsibilities and your rights when using our services.
Clova helps you understand your spending, prepare for bills and work towards savings goals. These terms describe your use of our website and planned app services, when available.
The service provider is M.C FERWERDA & J SAMOROWSKI trading as CLOVA GROUP, ABN 75 984 938 875 (Clova, we, us).
Joining the waitlist does not purchase a subscription or guarantee an invitation, launch date or feature.
Using Clova
Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. Only connect accounts and share information you are authorised to access. Contact support@getclova.com promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Our public material and planned app downloads do not have a blanket adult-only restriction. CDR bank connections require the applicable eligibility, including being at least 18. Younger users may use features available without a CDR connection. Any additional feature requirements are explained when offered.
Use Clova lawfully. Do not access someone else's information without authority, impersonate another person, bypass security controls, introduce harmful code or deliberately disrupt a service.
Information and financial decisions
Our calculators, examples and educational content provide general information. They do not consider all your circumstances or provide personal financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Sample information is fictional. Calculations and estimates depend on their inputs and assumptions.
Check important figures and seek appropriate advice before making a financial decision. Clova does not guarantee a financial outcome. Your responsibility for decisions does not remove our legal responsibilities.
Connected accounts
Clova does not currently connect to banks. Connected banking through Fiskil is planned for a future release, subject to the required Consumer Data Right (CDR) arrangements being in place before launch. The following describes that planned service. Connecting is optional and requires separate consent. The consent process explains the information requested, its purpose and the sharing period. These terms do not authorise collection, use or disclosure of CDR data.
You can withdraw consent through the available consent controls or the channels in Fiskil's CDR Policy. Features that depend on the affected information may stop working. Disconnecting a bank, deleting an account and unsubscribing from marketing are separate actions. Our CDR explanation explains these choices.
Availability and accuracy
Maintenance, faults and provider outages can interrupt services. Bank updates may be delayed and categorisation or estimates may be incomplete or incorrect. Tell us about errors so we can investigate. Check your bank's records where a discrepancy matters.
We explain material feature limitations when offering a service. Nothing in these terms removes an applicable consumer guarantee.
Fees and cancellation
We show the price, billing frequency, renewal conditions and cancellation process before you agree to a paid service. Joining the waitlist does not authorise a charge. No app pricing or subscription is established by these terms.
Any paid service must explain cancellation before purchase. Closing an account and cancelling a paid service may require separate steps, which must be made clear when that service is offered.
Deactivation and deletion
Deactivating your account provides 90 days to recover an account: self-reactivation for the first 30 days and team-assisted recovery for the next 60 days. After that period, remaining account information is deleted unless lawful retention is required.
You can make an explicit deletion request through support@getclova.com. It is separate from deactivation and does not need to wait for the recovery period. CDR deletion obligations are not delayed by account recovery. Reactivation cannot restore banking information that must be deleted; a new connection and consent may be needed.
Necessary legal and compliance records may remain. Our Privacy Policy explains retention, access and deletion requests.
Protecting the service
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect people, comply with law or address a material breach of these terms. Where practicable, we explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue. Urgent protective action may occur before notice. You can ask us to review a restriction.
Your information and our materials
You retain your rights in information you provide. We handle it as needed for the service you request, subject to applicable law and consent. These terms do not authorise the sale of your CDR data, its use for advertising or general AI model training.
Clova's branding, software and original content belong to Clova or its licensors. You may use our services and educational materials for their intended purpose. Uses permitted by law and your rights in your own information remain unaffected.
Privacy and providers
Our Privacy Policy explains information handling and your choices. Our service provider list explains the providers supporting each service. The CDR explanation links to the applicable Fiskil policy and describes connected-banking protections.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances, remedies may include repair, replacement, cancellation, a refund or compensation.
Liability is determined under applicable law. These terms do not impose a blanket exclusion of liability or require you to waive your privacy rights.
Questions and changes
For support or a complaint, email support@getclova.com or visit Contact us. Privacy and CDR complaint options are explained in the linked policies.
We may update these terms as services change. Material changes affecting existing customers receive notice before taking effect where required. We obtain agreement where necessary. Updated terms do not retrospectively authorise new uses of your information.
Australian law applies without removing mandatory protections or access to an appropriate court or dispute-resolution body.
