Give your income
a plan.
Bring your take-home pay and costs into one budget. Add what you want to put towards your goals, then see what is left over or where the plan runs short.
A fictional budget to try. Edit any amount to see what changes.
Just you? Use your pay and your share of shared costs. Planning for the household? Use everyone's pay and the full bills.
Your budget
Count each cost once. Empty sections count as $0.01Take-home income1 item$5,633.33
Use what lands in your account after tax. Don't count loans or money you already have.
02Home and bills2 items$1,945.00
Rent is spending. A mortgage repayment belongs under debt. For each bill, enter its cost or a regular provision once. Label temporary catch-up provisions as temporary scenarios.
Use the yearly bill converter for a per-pay provision, then enter that provision here once. This planner does not check first-bill funding.
03Food1 item$650.00
Include groceries and eating out, including new card purchases you plan to cover from this income. Count those purchases here once, then exclude their card settlement.
04Transport1 item$80.00
Include running costs you pay from this income. Car loan repayments belong under debt. Leave out the original financed purchase and the loan proceeds.
05Health and personalNothing added$0.00
Include costs paid from your take-home income. Insurance already deducted from your pay is excluded. Only net off a known refund for the same cost, up to that cost.
Health or personal cost.
06Children and dependantsNothing added$0.00
Include the costs of dependants within this plan's scope. Use your agreed share for a personal plan, or the corresponding full costs for a household plan.
Childcare, school or support.
07Leisure and subscriptionsNothing added$0.00
Include what you expect to fund from this income. A purchase funded from an existing goal pot is outside this plan. Do not also enter a purchase covered by the same goal provision.
Subscriptions or leisure.
08OtherNothing added$0.00
Check costs that did not fit elsewhere. Transfers between your own accounts are excluded. New borrowing to finance a purchase needs a separate cash-flow exercise.
Another cost.
09Debt commitments1 item$433.33
Include mortgage, loan and existing BNPL repayments, with their included interest and fees. For older card debt, enter only the separate repayment commitment. If you cannot separate it from current purchases, leave the amount blank until you can.
10Goal contributions1 item$325.00
Enter new income you choose to set aside, once. Leave out existing goal balances, the transfer into the goal account and purchases funded by the same provision. No target or deadline is calculated.
Excluded items and counting notes
Keep a label and reason for transfers or payroll deductions left out of the plan. No amounts are added to totals.

How to read your plan
Your allocations bring spending, debt repayments and chosen goal contributions together. Room before goals is what remains after spending and debt. Your final balance also subtracts your goal contributions.
A positive balance is money left over in an average month. A negative balance is a plan shortfall, even when the gap is less than a cent. You choose what to change. The planner does not set percentage targets or move money.
How the calculation works
Count every cost once. Outside-person reimbursements can be netted from both receipts and costs, or included with the full expense. Use one treatment. Empty sections count as $0. Added rows need an amount, including an explicit $0; a blank or invalid amount withholds the balance. Tick Estimate when an amount is approximate. The planner cannot verify your entries or find missing costs.
Weekly × 52, fortnightly × 26, monthly × 12, quarterly × 4 and annually × 1 give annual equivalents. Fortnightly means every two weeks. Other cadences need your documented annual equivalent, entered as an annual row.
Exact annual cents are added before dividing by 12 for an average month. Money rounds to the nearest cent, with half cents rounded away from zero. Displayed amounts can differ by a cent when added together. This is presentation only; the exact plan is unchanged.
The ring uses each expense group, debt, goals and any unallocated income as shares of income. When commitments exceed income, it uses shares of planned commitments and shows the shortfall separately. Percentage labels use largest remainders to total 100.0%, with ties in the displayed group order. Income-share figures are separate and can exceed 100%.
This is a recurring allocation scenario. Temporary amounts repeat at their entered frequency and are scenarios, not yearly forecasts. It has no account balance, opening savings, payment dates or cash-runway calculation. It does not check whether the next bill is funded.
Enter a yearly bill or its regular provision once. For amounts to put aside each payday, use the yearly bill converter. Check the next due date and money already saved separately.
